Purdue Day of Giving 2016

Mission accomplished! On April 27, the Purdue community came together – from every campus, every state, and 44 countries – to make 2016’s Purdue Day of Giving “Bigger & Better” and to build a better, stronger, more affordable Purdue.

And together we made history—again—giving back a record-shattering $18,293,665 through what has become the biggest single-day fundraising campaign in higher education.

Because of you, this year’s Purdue Day of Giving was “Bigger & Better.” We all came together – from every campus, every state, and 44 countries – to build a better, stronger, more affordable Purdue. And we made history—again—giving back a record-shattering $18,293,665 through what has become the biggest single-day fundraising campaign in higher education.

In 2016, the entire Purdue community came together to raise an astounding $18,293,665 from 12,872 gifts in just 24 hours! Your incredible generosity will grant countless opportunities and transform lives—thank you to everyone who helped make Purdue Day of Giving such a huge success!



Video: The "Why Give?" Initiative

As part of Student Engagement and Philanthropy Month, Purdue Foundation Student Board hosted a week-long event known as The “Why Give?” Initiative in February 2016. Created by the students for students, the event highlighted the importance of private giving at our University, and the impact it has on our campus community.
